AGM elects four new board members
Four new board members were elected and a new constitution was adopted at the Newmarket Business Association’s AGM on 25 September at the Broadway Pub & Café, Osborne Street.
The new board members are Angela Daniel (Angela Daniel Jewellery); Ian Goodall (160 Broadway Partnership); Kerri Hughes (Westfield 277); and Nicky Shore (Off Wax/Brow Bar).
Re-elected were Michael Holmes (The Eyesite); Jonathan Macdonald (Unichem on Broadway); and Mark McDonough (Zarbo Delicatessen & Café). Chairman John Slater (Creazioni Kitchens) was reappointed for a third year, while Carl Sowter (Marley Loft Ltd) was re-appointed to serve an 11th year as Treasurer.
Beau Nelson from Westfield did not seek re-election to the board due to pending maternity leave.
The chairman thanked the 2007/08 board members for their contribution and the management team for what he described “as another progressive year for the association.”
