Broadway Upgrade

Council information on Teed Street work - early 2008

We are about to start this important work in your area.  Below are details about the work and how you can contact us for more information.

Auckland City Council will be starting work to upgrade and improve Teed Street from Broadway to 11 Teed Street.

Work will begin on Monday, 7 January 2008.

Improvements will include a Watermain upgrade, Drainage upgrade, New concrete road, New widened stone footpaths and kerbs , New street lights and rubbish bins.

Teed Street will be open to all pedestrians during this period.

Teed Street will closed to all vehicles between Broadway and Osborne Street from 7 January to 22 February.  Access to private parking will be via the Osborne Street end.  The Contractor will advise when access to private carparks will not be possible due to curing concrete in the new road and new vehicle crossings.

The work will take place from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and additionally night work will be preferred for heavy machinery operation, evacuation and concrete delivery to minimise inconvenience.

When will the work be finished?

The work should take about 6 to 8 weeks. We will do all that we can to make sure that it is completed on time and with minimal disruption to you and your clients. We apologise for any inconvenience.
